The Fab Five are coming back, baby.

Queer Eye and five other series have been renewed by Netflix including One Day at a Time for a third season, and Dope, Drug Lords, Nailed It!, and The Toys That Made Us for their second seasons, The Hollywood Reporter reported Monday.

All of the shows outside of One Day at a Time are all relatively new unscripted series, showing Netflix's commitment to giving reality-style television a fair shot at making it on the streaming platform.

Out of that lineup, Queer Eye probably garnered the most buzz online. It's a reboot of the mid-2000s broadcast television show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, with a new lineup of queer guys who use their individual expertise to make other guys' lives better. Instead of focusing on straight guys in New York, though, the new Queer Eye takes place around Atlanta and doesn't just stick to straight guys. Read more...

Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou are both returning to their old Marvel Cinematic Universe roles in Captain Marvel.

The two actors previously appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy, as Ronan the Accuser and his crony Korath the Pursuer, respectively. So now we know that Captain Marvel will be wading into Guardians territory.

It's not a huge surprise. We already know that the Skrull alien race is Captain Marvel's principal villain. We also know from the synopsis that the story places star Brie Larson's superpowered Carol Danvers smack in the middle of a galactic war between two races. Read more...

This is not how I wanted the women's pocket revolution to go.

On this sordid planet, there exists a brand called Alexo Athletica, which specializes in "active carry-wear." Don't get your hopes up, because that means exactly what you think it means: a $99 yoga pant made for carrying guns.

It's a huge shame, really, because women could use more (and larger) pockets, especially on our athletic apparel. We just don't need gun pockets.

Reader, it should go without saying that you should not keep your firearm or knife in your pants during yoga class. This idea literally sent shivers down my spine as I typed it, and now I will never go to a yoga class again. Read more...

Imagine the greatest themed dinner party you can, and then forget about it entirely. One Simpsons-obsessed genius decided to top whatever your wild imagination could invent.

Tristin Hopper had a Simpsons themed dinner party over the weekend, and it was perfection. It was beyond perfection. It included more Simpsons references than you can shake a fondue stick at.

Pictures of this dinner party will do two things. 1. It will make you want to watch Simpsons immediately and extensively. 2. It will make you realize that you'll never be invited to a party as cool as this. Read more...

It's probably not a surprise, but you shouldn't trust the NRA.

Killer Mike, one half of popular rap group Run the Jewels, had to issue an apology Sunday for an interview he taped with the National Rifle Association last week.

The interview appeared on NRATV's NOIR on March 22. It included Killer Mike giving a full-throated support of black gun ownership. It also went into an exploration of "woke" culture.

The interview started circling around the internet just as hundreds of thousands of people were planning for the March for Our Lives, which took place on March 24.  Read more...

FACT: The Office will never die.

Sure, the NBC comedy ended in 2013, but the show's beloved characters will live on in our hearts, minds, and apparently sketchpads forever.

The latest tribute to the Dunder Mifflin crew comes from Marisa Livingston, a Los Angeles artist who transformed Michael Scott and the gang into some of the most perfect cartoon characters we've ever seen.

Chances are, you work for Facebook.

You probably don't have an office or an ID card. And you almost certainly don't get paid. But if you're one of the 239 million Americans who use the platform each month, your work is as valuable as a coder's. Maybe more. Your clicks, likes, and posts keep content circulating, users scrolling, and data streaming into algorithms used to serve you ads. Leave, and the platform crumbles.

The Cambridge Analytica scandal has driven away some users — mostly those troubled by how Facebook harvests personal information. But don't forget that Facebook takes something else from you, too: your labor. Read more...

Stranger Things is heading back into production this month, and details on Season 3 are already giving us nostalgia for Season 2.

At PaleyFest in Los Angeles on March 25, executive producer Shawn Levy told The Hollywood Reporter that the most important storyline would thankfully make a return:

"Dad Steve magic" is one way of putting it. But perhaps the real magic is the daddiness of the whole season — at least if you ask David Harbour, the man behind Sheriff Hopper.'

But the real question remains: How much more dad dancing will there be in Season 3?  Read more...

What does it take to get some peace and quiet around here?

You know the drill: You're submerged in distracting office chatter at work, and once you get home, family members or roommates are suddenly the loudest people you know — or your neighbor is throwing a party on a Tuesday night. And when you're traveling, you're always seated within an ear-shot of the kid that won't stop crying.

Headphones are a great way to drown out the sound, but no matter how high you turn up the volume, some models can't give you the unadulterated silence you deserve.

In a year of epic superhero movie landmarks like Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, one superhero will likely stand on his own as a hilariously irreverent sidebar among 2018's film releases. Of course, we're talking about everyone's favorite "Merc with a Mouth": Deadpool 2 hits theaters May 18.

When the first Deadpool movie was released in 2016, it broke several records, including biggest opening weekend for an R-rated superhero flick at the time. It also gave superhero movies permission to take more risks with their storytelling outside of the traditional origin story, leading to films like the hyper-violent, critically-acclaimed Logan and the upcoming horror-esque flick, The New Mutants.  Read more...

With the triumphant return of Roseanne 21 years after its last episode, the world seems like it's primed and ready to take a look back to the past and reboot as many classic television shows as possible.

The world is in luck; there are already so many beloved (albeit mostly white) TV shows that are well on their way to getting rebooted, from 1980s staples like Miami Vice to the short-lived but transcendent '60s cartoon The Jetsons. Some have been greenlit, others have had pilots ordered, others are still in early stages of development, but they're all shows that we desperately want to see back on our screens. Read more...

Facebook's security and product leads have been acting globally in the company's effort to regain user trust and protect the integrity of elections worldwide. The world's largest social network cannot take back what occurred on its platform during the 2016 presidential election, but the team has been trying to prevent bad actors, like Russian trolls, from using Facebook to nefariously affect election results in the future.

"It's really important for us while we're solving the problems of the 2016 election that we're not getting tunnel vision there," Facebook's Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos told reporters on Thursday. "We don't just want to be fighting the last war." Read more...
