The series gave a shoutout to Weird Al Yankovic in two subtle Season 3 shoutouts. In the second episode of the season, science teacher and A.V. club supervisor Mr. Clarke jams out to the parody king's "My Balogna," a cheeky jab at The Knack's "My Sharona."
In the next episode, Dustin dons a vintage Weird Al shirt — he's clearly a fan.
